What Information We Collect

The Basics (Automatically Collected)

Like most websites, we collect some basic technical info when you visit FastShortcuts:

• How you found us: Which website referred you or if you came from a search engine
• What you look at: Which shortcuts pages you visit and how long you stay
• General location: Country/city level only (from your IP address) - never your exact address
• Technical stuff: IP address, timestamps, and error logs if something breaks

Why do we collect this? To understand what shortcuts people actually use, fix bugs faster, and make the site better. That's it.

Information You Give Us Directly

We only collect personal information if you choose to contact us. This might include:

• Your name and email (if you fill out our contact form)
• Any feedback or suggestions you send us
• Your email if you subscribe to updates (we don't have this yet, but might add it)

We'll never sell this information. Ever. We're developers too, and we hate spam just as much as you do.

How We Use This Information

Here's everything we do with the data we collect:

• Keep the site running: Fix bugs, improve performance, and add new shortcuts
• Understand what's useful: See which shortcuts get the most views so we can prioritize updates
• Reply to you: If you contact us, we'll use your email to respond (shocking, right?)
• Prevent abuse: Block spam bots and malicious traffic
• Make it faster: Optimize load times based on real usage patterns

That's literally it. We're not building user profiles, tracking you across the web, or doing any creepy ad-tech stuff.

We use a few cookies to make the site work properly:

• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics to see which pages are popular - we use the privacy-friendly version

No advertising cookies. No social media tracking pixels. No third-party nonsense.

We use a couple of external services:

• Hostinger: Hosts our website (they're our server provider)
• Google Analytics: Tells us how many people visit and which pages they view
• GitHub: Stores our code and handles automatic deployments

These services have their own privacy policies. We chose providers that respect privacy, but you should check their policies if you're concerned.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)

Depending on where you live, you have specific rights:

• Access: Ask what data we have about you (spoiler: probably not much)
• Correction: Tell us to fix any incorrect information
• Deletion: Request we delete your data
• Opt-out: Stop any marketing emails (if we ever send them)

Kids' Privacy

FastShortcuts isn't specifically designed for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you're a parent and think your child has sent us personal info, contact us and we'll delete it.

International Users

FastShortcuts is accessible worldwide. Your data might be stored on servers in different countries. By using our site, you're okay with this. We follow GDPR standards even for non-EU users because, honestly, it's just the right thing to do.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle privacy, we'll update this page and note the date at the top. Big changes? We'll add a notice on the homepage for a few weeks.
